We are spiritually nourished in Holy Communion

Holy Communion is regarded by Protestants as a sacrament. It is an act of worship ordained by Jesus Christ and is a means of God’s grace. By receiving Holy Communion we open ourselves to the very presence of Jesus and His love – and we become more ready to receive that love and to respond to it.

All Christians are welcome at the United Methodist table, whatever their denomination. Holy Communion is a family meal, therefore, we do not want to exclude children or anyone else who cannot partake of alcoholic beverages -thus the United Methodist church uses bread and grape juice, instead of wine.
